Improvvisamente su una macchina di sviluppo ho riscontrato l'errore "Unable to locate the dundas chart wizard assembly file" al momento di avviare il wizard del controllo Dundas Chart, sia nell'iniziale posizionamento sulla web form sia accedendo attraverso l'apposito smart tag.
Il problema è causato da una anomalia nelle entry di Dundas presenti nel Registry di Windows.
Sostituire la chiave:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Dundas Software\Charting\WebControlVS2008
rinominandola in:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Dundas Software\Charting\WebControlVS2005
Il wizard ora si lancerà correttamente!
